Experience

Steve has over 36 years of experience in a wide-ranging civil practice representing companies and individuals for claims related to wrongful death and catastrophic injury, personal injury, liquor and premises liability, general liability, products liability, commercial transportation, sexual abuse, bad faith, defamation, professional liability, construction defect, insurance coverage and employment disputes.

 Steve has earned the respect of his clients for his steadfast handling of their cases. In recognition of his legal abilities and professionalism, Steve maintains an AV Peer Review Rating in Martindale-Hubbell and has been consistently selected as a Minnesota Super Lawyer since 2011.

 Licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, Steve has a long and proven track record as a trial attorney. He has tried many jury trials throughout the state of Minnesota and western Wisconsin with outstanding results. He has been a Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the MSBA since 2001 and is a past member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is also a member of the DRI and a member and past board member of the MDLA.

 Steve has also successfully represented numerous clients before the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the Minnesota Supreme Court. In addition, he is highly skilled in evaluating cases and has negotiated countless favorable resolutions for his clients.  Steve is also a Rule 114 Qualified Neutral.
