Associate Attorney
Tomsche, Sonnesyn & Tomsche, P.A. is civil litigation law firm located in St. Louis Park, seeking an experienced associate attorney to work primarily in areas of personal injury, professional negligence, employment, and construction.
Responsibilities:

- Defend lawsuits with minimal supervision from partners
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout course of lawsuit
- Work closely with paralegal and administrative assistants to manage delegation of tasks and provide excellent client service
- Conduct in-depth legal research
- Prepare complex reports, motions, and legal memoranda
- Prepare and respond to written discovery, including analysis and management of large document production
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurers
- Appear at court hearings, depositions, and trials
Qualifications:

- Minnesota license required; Wisconsin license preferred
- Excellent writing ability
- Strong research skills, including Westlaw and other legal research tools
- Confidence in communicating with clients and opposing counsel
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- Comfortable with technology and understanding of e-discovery process and requirements
- 4+ years litigation experience

Law Clerk
Tomsche, Sonnesyn & Tomsche, P.A. seeks a self-motivated law clerk to join our team. Responsibilities include organizing and managing documents, reviewing file materials for relevancy and responsiveness prior to production, reviewing opposing parties’ production and provide summary and preliminary analysis, provide initial case law research and review at attorney direction, and assisting attorneys in preparation for depositions, mediation and trial. Law clerks at Tomsche, Sonnesyn & Tomsche are encourage to act as law student practitioner as provided by Supervised Practice Rules. A successful candidate should have two years of law school experience (emphasis in civil litigation is preferred); strong writing and verbal communication skills; strong research skills, including Westlaw and other legal research tools; confident communication skills with clients and opposing counsel; ability to manage time and prioritize tasks; interest in and ability to work with e-discovery tools and case management software.
